How my business has changed or grown over the years
"In 2025, I purchased a mobile glassblowing furnace with an annealer tube. I am primarily participating in statewide art festivals at this time and have taken the furnace to a couple of festivals for demonstation purposes. I am slowly adding more tools, molds, etc. and most recently ordered a larger annealer which I expect to arrive in a couple of months.
My hope is, upon graduation from South this year, to open a glass art gallery with hot shop in back. This would allow me to, not only sell my artwork but, offer glassblowing lessons."

Nic's mission is to enrich lives through unique glass art, offering visual delight and sensory experiences. His aim is to push boundaries in the art world, creating pieces that resonate with viewers emotionally and intellectually. Through his art, Nic seeks to inspire creativity, evoke emotions, and bring beauty to everyday spaces.
But, who is Nic?
Having had a love of visual arts throughout grade school, Nic decided in high school that he wanted to focus on learning about glassblowing. After touring many college campuses that offered a BFA with a glass concentration, he chose the University of South Alabama for its glassblowing facilities/curriculum. While still working on his BFA at South, Nic began participating in local art festivals. Nicolas Neese Glass, LLC was formed in 2024.
A Life Not Challenge-free, that's for Sure!
The main challenge that I faced as a glass artist happened during the first semester of my Senior year at South. After breaking a bone in my wrist which required surgery and a pin insertion, I had, per doctor’s orders, to refrain from all glassblowing for six weeks. At the time, I was working on my pre-thesis in glassblowing. Fortunately, instead of having to withdraw from my pre-thesis class, I was able to transfer to kiln-formed glass. I only had half of the semester to put my pre-thesis together. I have never been so excited to receive a "C" in my life.
